“Stupid boy think that I need him” — if you’ve heard those words on TikTok, they came from none other than Ashnikko. The London-based singer and rapper, whose real name is Ashton Casey, has been releasing songs just as viral-worthy as her iconic collaboration with Yung Baby Tate. She released her first EP, Sass Pancakes, in 2017, followed by her 2018 EP Unlikeable which produced much-buzzed-about tracks like “No Brainer” and her collab with Kodie Shane, “Invitation.” She eventually dropped her most popular EP to date, Hi, It’s Me, which included her breakthrough hit “STUPID.” Her music is fun, provocative, and most importantly, feminist. “I’m a die-hard feminist, it wouldn’t sit right with me if I wasn’t talking about my feminism,” she told HollywoodLife in an EXCLUSIVE interview in Dec. 2019.
Ashnikko was born and raised in North Carolina, but her family relocated to Estonia when the singer was just 13 years old. She has remained in Europe ever since. She moved to London at age 18, and focused on her music career from there on out.
